Welcome back to Bookish News! Here’s the news that I have gathered over the month of December.

Book News
Susan Dennard New Date!
Today on Twitter, Susan announced that due to a snag, they had to push back the publication date from Jan. 23rd to Feb. 13th. She is feeling bad and wanted to make sure we are aware of the situation. (Twitter). (Source).
Christine Riccio’s News!
Christine got a book deal with Wednesday Books, an imprint of Macmillian! It will be out at some point in Spring/Summer of 2019 and it would be called Again, But Better. I am so happy for Christine. She took us on a journey for past two years with her talking about writing on her YouTube channel. (Source). (Christine’s Announcement).
Nic Stone’s News!
Crown has acquired two unnamed novels by Nic Stone. With one of them, we will get to see more Justyce McAllister. The publication dates are expected for October 2019 and October 2020. (Source).
Scott Reintgen’s News!
Scott has announced that he will write his debut Middle-Grade novel, When in Fancy. Publication is set for Spring 2020. (Source).
Mackenzi Lee’s News!
We get to know Loki more, all thanks to Mackezi Lee! This is the first of three historical fiction novels, focusing on our awesome anti-heroes among Marvel. First up, Loki. It will be published Spring 2019. (Source).
Vicious’ New Cover!
Victoria Schwab has revealed on Twitter a new edition of Vicious. It will be in both paperback and hardback. The reason of why the new edition is because of the cover for her next sequel in The Villians series, Vengeful would match. I’m not sure if it’s a duology or a trilogy. Vengeful is set to be released in September 2018. The cover has been designed by Wil Staehle, he has worked on the Shade of Magic series covers. (Victoria’s Tweet).
Ready Player One Sequel
Ernest Cline has confirmed that he is writing the sequel to his book, Ready Player One. There is no current title, date, and/or synopsis. (Source).
Kal Penn Signs Book Deal
Kal Penn signed a book deal for his essay collection, which will be released sometimes in 2019. It “…will cover a range of topics in the upcoming book, including his ambition as an actor, the challenges of navigating Hollywood, and his unusual sabbatical from actor to White House staffer. Penn famously left his regular House role to serve President Obama’s administration for more than two years, as Associate Director in the Office of Public Engagement.” (Source).
The Devil Wears Prada Continues On
It will be released on June 5th and will be called When Life Gives You Lululemons. It will focus on Emily Charlton, and Emily Blunt was the character in the movie. (Source).

Dark and Twisty Sabrina the Teenage Witch Adaptation Coming to Netflix!
It will be darker than the comic book, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. It will be two seasons and twenty episodes. (Source).

Ready Player One Poster!

John Green’s Lastest
John Green’s latest novel, Turtles All The Way Down has been picked up by FOX. (Source).
The Yellow Bird by Kevin Powers!
The Yellow Bird by Kevin Powers now has Jennifer Aniston as one of the leads for the movie adaptation. Alden Ehrenreich, Tye Sheridan, Jack Huston also star. Saban Films got the movie rights for North America with the film planned to be released sometime in the Spring. (Source).
The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
The movie has added to its cast. Please, welcome Willa Fitzgerald! She’ll be Kitsey Barbour. She joined the cast of Ansel Elgort as Theodore Decker, Aneurin Barnard as Boris and Sarah Paulson as Xandra. (Source).
Burial Rites by Hannah Kent
The movie adaption of Burial Rites has cast its lead and it’s Jennifer Lawernce as Agnes Magnusdottir. (Source).
Goldie Vance by Hope Larson and Brittney Williams
Kerry Washington and Rashida Jones are joining the film adaptation. (Source).
Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
Disney has cast its lead for Artemis Fowl. It will be lead by a newcomer, Ferdia Shaw. The movie also has Josh Gad as Mulch Diggums and Dame Judi Dench as Commander Root. (Source).
