January 10th: Books You Didn’t Get to In 2017
— These are books you didn’t end up getting to in 2017, but really want to prioritize in 2018.
I know. It has been a while since I did a Top 5 and I thought this topic is a good choice for me to do because there are books that I own but didn’t get to in 2017 as I have planned.
The Hate U Give // Angie Thomas
This is one of the books that I have repeatedly said that I was going to read for that month but I never got around to it. Since for 2018, I wanted to take it easy when it comes to TBR, my hope for me to read this before Angie’s sophomore novel releases in May.
The Upside of Unrequited // Becky Albertalli
I am planning to read this book for sure, just I want to read Simon first before this one. I can’t wait to read this book.
Labyrinth Lost // Zoraida Córdova
Another book that I have said that I was going to read back in 2017 but never got around to it. I want to read this before the sequel. It comes out on June 5th.
The Girl with the Red Balloon // Katherine Locke
I don’t see anyone talking about this book at all on Twitter or Booktube. It barely got mentioned but the synopsis caught my attention and was planning on reading it. The story of my life, right now. If I am loving this book, I’m going to grab The Spy with the Red Balloon in October.
Crooked Kingdom // Leigh Bardugo
Just like with The Hate U Give and Labyrinth Lost, I never got around to it. My hope is to get to it sometimes during 2018. I miss the crew.
The City of Brass // S.A. Chakraborty
I have heard nothing but awesome things about this book. I got this book from PageHabit and I’m excited to start reading it and I have a feeling that I’m going to buy The Kingdom of Copper when it gets released at some point this year.

I’m currently reading The Hate U Give..would highly recommend it. I tried reading SOC, but just couldn’t get into it 😦

I did. I tried twice..lol. I wanted to like it, cause it’s beautifully printed, but it just wasn’t for me 😦
