Top 5 Wednesday: Favorite Non-Canon Ships

For anyone unfamiliar with Top 5 Wednesday, it’s a weekly meme that was created by Lainey from gingerreadslainey and is now moderated by Sam from Thoughts On Tomes. The group communicates through Goodreads.

October 19th: Favorite Non-Canon Ships
These are the couples you love, but they never got together in canon (canon meaning: what actually happened in the text). Or that did get together, but weren’t together in the end of the series. Or a couple you ship but it’s actually impossible for them to be together because they are from different worlds, franchises, etc. Let your shipper heart run wild. I know mine will.

I sat in front of my laptop, thinking how to answer for the topic and I can only come up with few ones. So, I have picked couples that are really good friends and are a better fit for one other than the ones that they have ended up together. There is a mixture of books and TV shows/movies since I have not really ship anyone so I have to wreck my mind to get this list up. They are not in the order. They ae random. There are only three pairs.

1. Luna Lovegood and Harry Potter

Luna is a person that people try to avoid because she is different and would say odd things but Harry respects her and likes her. She understands how it is being without a parent. She does not expect a lot from Harry as long he stays true to him. I honestly think they balance each other well.

2. Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes; Marvel

I have not read the comics but I want to, one day! I have watched the movies, thanks to the Marvel crazed boyfriend. I have watched few of the Avengers movies at least twice. Whenever they appeared on the screen, I was like, “Why don’t you guys kiss already??”

3. Castiel and Dean Winchester, Supernatural

I will admit… I have not watched the TV show at all, but I am blaming Tumblr for making me ship these.

Yes, I was the same but I knew people would ship Luna & Neville. So I made the choice to ship Harry & Luna. The fact that Harry give his daughter, Luna as her middle name says something.
