I saw this tag over at Larkin @ wonderfilledreads and I was like, “now I finally get to do a tag!” I haven’t done a tag in a while due to my lack of reading. If you’d like to do this tag, then I tag you!
I’m unsure on who created this tag so if you know of someone, please let me know and I’ll update this and credit them.
Three Reads Once and Loved Authors
Taylor Jenkins Reid | Emma Mills | Leigh Bardugo
- People have been talking about The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo so I borrowed the book from the library (Status: I’m on hold for the book because I had to return the book when my time was up). With what I’ve read so far, yes. Sign. Me. Up. My last Waiting on Wednesday is all about her newest release, Daisy Jones and the Six. Cannot wait for it.
- Emma Mills! I loved Foolish Hearts! It’s one of the books that I actually read and finished. In fact, I finished it in a day! I want to read more. I brought her first two novels, First & Then and This Advantage Ends. I cannot wait for her newest book, coming out in January; Famous in a Small Town.
- Six of Crows was the first novel that I’ve read by Leigh Bardugo and I fell in love with the characters and the world. I want to get back into the world. Read everything before King of Scars comes out in January.
Three Titles I’ve Watched but Haven’t Read
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire | To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before | Sense & Sensibility
Yes, I know. I did read the first Harry Potter novel, I just didn’t finish the rest of the series. I need to, I know and I’m planning on to. I was spoiled for To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before before I even plan on reading it. I am unsure to read it now or just read it notwithstanding. I am not a big classic reader so I’m fine not reading any before starting on a movie. I loved this movie though. The case was wonderful. I haven’t see the reboot yet. Should I?
Three Characters You Love
- Evelyn Hugo from The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
- Wylan Van Eck from Six of Crows
- Nina Zenik from Six of Crows
Three Series You Binged
Divergent | The Hunger Games | Twilight
I know. These series were popular back in the day. That was also the last time I binged a series. Out of these three, The Hunger Games series is my favorite. Divergent, I love but next two books – eh. Twilight was the reason that I fell in love with Fantasy and led me to other fantasy series (and I still need to finish them).
Three Unpopular Bookish Opinions
- Even though I haven’t read the whole series but I have watched the whole movies (series) – I just don’t agree with Harry and Ginny as well as Hermione and Ron. If I tell you why in this post, it’ll be one long post. I will explain in another post if I need to.
- Not a big fan of classics, like I said up above in the Three Titles I’ve Watched… I think it’s the language that was used in the past – I just couldn’t get past.
- I hate it when people put down others for liking a certain genre, or a certain book. What people forget the most that people are different and like different things. If we all like the same things, the world will be boring. Just let it be and enjoy.
Three Current Favorite Book Covers
The Gilded Wolves | Ruse | The Kingdom of Copper
There are so many beautiful covers from 2016 and above in my opinion but I need to REALLY narrow it down to three. WHY?! Because of that, I was like, should I pick from 2018 or 2019? I decided to go to 2019 because I want you to be aware of these books coming out.
- The Gilded Wolves is so beautiful. The greenery with the golden gate? I am not sure what to call it. I love the typography.
- Ruse is so cool! I love the color combos. I love the design and everything involved. There are times when I’m like, WOW when it comes to artists but there are times when I was like, dang… I wish I can do that!
- I’m so glad that they chose the cover for The Kingdom of Cooper and to keep the same feel as The City of Brass. I love the color combos here. It felt like the city has a waterfall. To be honest, I wanted The City of Brass solely because of the cover before I even knew what it is all about.
Three Bookish Goals for the Year
- Hmm, I have set my reading challenge to 12 back in January and I am 5 books behind so I’d like to hit 12 books before December 31st. P.S. if I happen to hit more than 12, YES!
- I need to write and schedule reviews when I’m finished with books. I have read two so far this year and yeah. I need to figure out if there is a way for me to post reviews for Amazon and Goodreads without actually going on the websites and post them. If I don’t find a way, for sure, I will forget to post them.
- I find myself wanting to read new releases and pausing on the current reads for them. I need to stop that. They’ll be still there so there’s no reason for me to do so.
Yes, I love the cover The Kingdom of Copper! It’s so vibrant with that electric blue color running down the middle of it. I’m super excited for its release as I loved the first book so much!

Yeah, it was so hard to pick just two for that section because I knew The Kingdom of Cooper is going to be on that list for sure. Something about that cover pulls me in!

Ohhhhh, that’s a good question. I think so far that I’m gonna have to go with The Priory of the Orange Tree and Warrior of Wild. And honorable mention goes to Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee! 🙂

The Priory of the Orange Tree is very beautiful. I didn’t see Warrior of Wild and Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee. I need to check them out! 🙂

I love to read the classics, mysteries, and fantasies. I am trying to write a children’s fantasy myself. It is okay to have different interests in genres. Your favorite genres don’t have to match up with another person’s favorite genres

Agreed. I have seen people go, “Oh you read YA and you aren’t in that age bracket?” Please. Just let them read and it doesn’t affect you and your life.

I am 24, and I do read children’s series and classics as in 1800s and before. Nothing wrong with that.

Nope. I love historical fiction novels. They’re fun and you get to image them in your head with the horses or customs.

Historical Fiction- that depends. I don’t like history one bit. It just depends on what time period it is. I have loved some classics that are historical fiction. It just depends on the time period.
