Book News
George R.R. Martin’s New Book and It Isn’t The Winds of Winter!
“Fire & Blood, details the history of the Targaryen kings of Westeros.” I believe it is two-part, with this one being the first, obviously. If you check the link, it will tell you more about what kind of history it will be featured in the book. It will feature 75 illustrations by artist Doug Wheatley. It is coming out on November 20th. Sarah J. Maas’ Final Book in the Throne of Glass Series!
Sarah has announced the title for the final book in the Throne in Glass series. It is going to be called Ash of Kingdom. It is set to be released on October 23rd. (Sarah’s Instagram).
David Yoon’s New Book
David Yoon’s Frankly in Love has been acquired by Penguin Young Readers. David did the illustrations for Nicola Yoon’s debut novel, Everything, Everything. It was an intense bidding war between 10 publishing houses and Penguin Young Readers won in the end. “G. P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers will publish the book, which was acquired as part of a two-book deal with Yoon for North American rights.” It is expected to be released in the Fall of 2019. Harry Potter‘s 20th Anniversary Covers!
Scholastic revealed a long poster that is going to be split into covers. The illustrations were designed by Brian Selznick (The Invention of Hugo Cabret, Wonderstruck). The paperbacks will be released on June 26th with the box set coming in September. If you click on the link, you’ll be seeing the poster and the covers as well. (Source).
Axie Oh’s Sequel!
There will be a companion novel to Rebel Seoul. It will be out sometime in Fall 2019. Axie has mentioned that the novel will have some characters from Rebel Seoul! (Twitter).
Lisa Maxwell’s Two New Books Deal!
Author of The Last Magician and upcoming, The Devil’s Theif, Lisa Maxwell has two new books deal with Simon Pulse. The date release is unknown. (Twitter).
Julie C. Dao & The Kingdom of the Blazing Phoenix!
Julie has announced on Twitter that her sequel novel to Forest of Thounds Lanterns has been pushed back to November 6th. (Twitter).
Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan!
In the same thread as Julie’s, I found out that the novel, Girls of Paper and Fire has been pushed back to November 6th as well! (Natasha’s Tweet).

Movie News
Angie Thomas’ The Hate U Give Cast News & Date-ish!
Kian Lawley has been fired for a video that surfaced on the Internet and he was using racial slurs. K.J. Apa (Riverdale) has been cast as Chris and they have been reshooting Chris scenes and are finished with the movie. They are in post-production now. (Kian News). (K.J. News). Angie teased us with the possible date for the movie. It said Fall 2018. So we will see.
Aru Shah and the End of Time Movie!
Paramount Pictures won the rights for the movie rights to Aru Shah and the End of Time. The auction went down between Paramount and Netflix. Karen Rosenfelt is producing. (Twitter). (News).

It is set to be released on August 17, 2018.
I love this! There’s so much here that I’m excited about. I thought The Last Magician was great, so I’m excited for Maxwell to get a book deal. Also, AN ARU SHAH MOVIE?! OMG I can’t wait to see how that ends up.

I haven’t read The Last Magician and didn’t know that the second book will be going to be release anytime soon. I am excited for Aru Shah movie as well! I hope it’ll be beautiful and fun to watch! 🙂

This is such a great idea! I didn’t know about a lot of these! Thanks for putting these together! There’s gonna be a Aru Shah movie??? That’s so exciting! I haven’t read the book yet but I’m even more excited to read it now.

Thanks, it isn’t easy to look for news when the said news is everywhere. It helps that I follow authors on Twitter and Instagram but there is so many that I’m missing. I hope to expense more in my future posts. I’m excited for Aru Shah movie as well! I am def going to keep an eye out for it!
