What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera

What If It's Us

It is set to be released on October 9, 2018, by HarperTeen & Balzer + Bray.

When I first heard about both Becky and Adam working together on a novel, I got to tell you, I literally jumped for joy. I am so freaking excited! I loved Becky’s first novel; Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. I need to finish Adam’s More Happy Than Not but from what I’ve read so far, I love his writing and I love the characters. I cannot wait to see how they would come together and put their own styles and see how it would fit. I believe that Becky wrote in Arthur’s POV and Adam did Ben’s. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I love the cover. It feels like that it coordinates well with their own book covers but at the same time, it is different on its own. I love the characters, Ben and Arthur on the cover. I love how they give each other the “I like you” eye. I hope it is what it is, though. I love the color combos. It’s happy, and not dark. Sometimes I love seeing the covers like that.

Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.

Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.

But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them?

Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.

Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.

But what if they can’t quite nail a first date… or a second first date… or a third?

What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work… and Ben doesn’t try hard enough?

What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play?

But what if it is?
