The Poet X Art Process!

Unearthed Sequel Title Reveal!
Amie Kaufman and Megan Spooner have announced via their newsletter their new title for Unearthed Book #2. It is going to be called Undying. (Goodreads).
Penguin Young Readers!
Penguin Young Readers launched a new imprint called Kokila, and its focus will be on diverse books for Children and Young Adults. Namrata Tripathi used to be an associate publisher and editorial director of Dial Books for Young Readers, has been named publisher for the new imprint. The team includes Joanna Cárdenas – Editor, Jasmin Rubero – art director. Their “debut list will launch in the summer of 2019 and will release about 15–20 fiction and nonfiction titles annually. Their list will include picture books, middle grade and young adult books, and graphic novels.” (Source).
Seann McGuire’s New Books News!
Do you love Every Heart A Doorway? What about Down Among the Sticks and Bones? Beanth the Sugar Sky? And were you worried that was it forever? Have no fear. Seann has announced that she is going to release at least two more books! The book #4 will be called In An Absent Dream and with the book #5, Come Tumbling Down. It will be released at some point in 2019 and 2020. (Source).
Sexual Harassments Among the Book community
After Anne Ursu published her findings with the survey – a lot of people has come forward and named of those who harassed them. Among these were James Dashner, Jay Asher, and many more. Due to this, both Dashner and Asher have been dropped by their publishers and agents. Please read the links that I’ve provided because they have a lot more information. (Source). (Bustle).
ALA Announces Youth Media Award Winners!
Just like the title stated, there are the lists of winners such as Hello, Universe written by Erin Entrada Kelly for the John Newbery Medal, Piecing Me Together written by Renée Watson for the Coretta Scott King Book Awards, and We Are Okay written by Nina LaCour for the Michael L. Printz Award. (Full List of Winners).
Victoria Schwab Comic Series!
After getting the news of more books in the Shades of Magic world, you would think that would be it. NOPE! Not even close. Victoria has announced that there will be a comic series that will be the prequel to Shades of Magic. The first issue will be released on October 8th. It will be called Shades of Magic: The Steel Prince, from Titan Comics, features art by Andrea Olimpieri (Dishonored). If you go to the link, you will see some of the exclusive art. (Source).
New Book by Khaled Hosseini!
The author, who also wrote The Kite Runner has a new book coming out soon. It is called Sea Prayer and it is about the ongoing refugee crisis. It is expected to be released in September. It also features breathtaking illustrations from London-based artist Dan Williams. (Source).

Michelle Obama’s New Novel!
Michelle Obama has announced her title for her new novel and it will be called Becoming. It will be published by Crown Publishing Group on November 13th. Mrs. Obama herself will do the audiobook. (Source). (Becoming Offical Site).
Tahereh Mafi’s Next Novel!
Tahereh has announced her next novel for later this year. I am excited to read this. It is #Ownvoice novel based loosely on her life. It is about a Muslim American teen after 9/11. It will be called A Very Large Expanse of Sea. It will be released sometime in October.(Source).

Mary J. Blige on Netflix as Cha-Cha!
Mary J. Blige is joining The Umbrella Academy, produced by Netflix. It is based on the comic series by Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance. Published by Dark Horse Comics and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. Along with Blige, Ellen Page will join as well, as Vanya “The White Violin” Hargreeves. (Source).
Stephen King’s The Dark Tower Reboot!
When The Dark Tower was released on the Big Screen, it didn’t perform as well as they hope. Amazon will be the one that will do the reboot. (Source).

Oh my gosh, yes! I love The Poet X cover and would love to read how they conceptualized it. There were so many great cover reveals this year so far. I am in love with the cover for Pride by Ibi Zoboi. There are a couple books here that I’m not familiar with, so I’m off to check them out. Thanks for the wrap-up. Happy March!
