Top Ten Tuesday | Top Ten Books On My Winter TBR

For anyone unfamiliar with Top 10 Tuesday, it’s a weekly meme that was created by The Broke and The Bookish. To see more posts on this very topic, please go here.

November 28: Top Ten Books On My Winter TBR

It has been a while since I did a Top 10 Tuesday. The topics thus far weren’t good for me because I don’t truly have books that I wanted to talk about for these topics. This topic is perfect.

There are so many books that I wanted to read that I actually have both in physical and Kindle editions so I need to narrow things down and think what I truly want to read for now and what I wanted to to do for 2018 (you’ll see that in my 2018 goals). With that in mind, here are the books that I wanted to read and it’s possible that I will get to them during December to February.

As usual, there are more than 10 books.

Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda // Becky Albertalli
I wanted to reread this before Love, Simon comes out in March. I am so excited. I love this book, I adore this book. Becky is awesome with her writing and she is amazing at making me love the characters.

The Upside of Unrequited // Becky Albertalli
Same reason as Simon but I want to read both before Leah on the Offbeat gets published in April. So excited.

Tess of the Road // Rachel Hartman
I requested this off Netgalley and wasn’t expecting to be accepted but I did! So I wanted to read this before its February 27th release. It has dragons so why not?!

The Girl with the Red Balloon // Katherine Locke
I don’t really hear a lot about the book but when I do, it’s normally good. Not even one negative review. It’s a historical fiction with the touch of magic. I cannot wait to jump into this book.

An Ember in the Ashes // Sabaa Tahir
Her third book is coming out in April so I wanted to start her first book and the second book, A Torch Against the Night in the series next three months so I can be ready for A Reaper at the Gate in April.

Hunted // Megan Spooner
This is one of the books that has been on my TBRs a bit too many time and I truly need to read this. I have heard mixed reviews but more on the good side than it is on the bad. It’s a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and I cannot wait.

Crooked Kingdom // Leigh Bardugo
I know, I know. This book has been on my TBRs so many time and yet, I haven’t had the courage to pick it up because I do not want to stop reading about these characters. I know I can always reread but it isn’t the same as the first time around. I hope to finally read this book in the next three months.

Warcross // Marie Lu
I got this book for my birthday last week and I am excited to read it! One worry that I am having, is that after I finish reading this, I have to wait for the second book in the duology!

I Believe in a Thing Called Love // Maurene Goo
This is another book on my TBR and I want to read this before Maruene’s next novel, The Way You Make Me Feel comes out in May.

The Hate U Give // Angie Thomas
I know! Shame on me for not reading this. The book, sadly, was one of my victims when it comes to: “when you read a book, put it down for another book with the intention of picking it up again but never did.” I love what I have read so far and I’m excited about On the Come Up

Queens of Geek // Jen Wilde
The same thing happened with Queens of Geek. I got this book via NetGalley and yeah. I want to read this before her next novel, The Brightsiders, comes out in May.

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue // Mackenzi Lee
Yeah, the novel went through the same fate as Crooked Kingdom, I Believe in a Thing Called Love, and Hunted. I hope to finish it and enjoy it. Wish me luck.

I also received an ARC of Tess of the Road and OMG, I can’t wait to read it!! It sounds amazing. I’ve yet to read The Upside, but Simon Vs. is one of my favorite books. The Gentleman’s Guide was another fantastic novel filled with diverse representation. And I’m SURE you will love Queens of Geek! Great post!

I just need to remember to post a review after I have finished a book. I am bad at this! It does sound amazing. Dragons! Who doesn’t like dragons?!

I adore Simon Vs. I truly need to reread it. It gave me a smile when I finished the book. I am sure both The Upside and Leah on the Offbeat will be the same.

The Gentleman’s Guide. I have heard so many things about the book — funny, sweet, kind, give us things to think about but at the same time, it’s hard to read because of so many things. I’m ready for it.

Queens of Geek sounds like my kind of book!
