I wanted to cut down my TBR on Goodreads because there is no way in hell that I am going to let alone be able to read all 891 books. I saw few posts from other bloggers and thought that I need to jump on the wagon. I am going to look to remove ten books at a time.
This was “created” by Lost in a Story!
– Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
– Order on ascending date added.
– Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
– Read the synopses of the books
– Decide: keep it or should it go?
– Keep track of where you left off so you can pick up there next week
Book #1 | The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank
Of course, I am going to keep this because I wanted to read what she went through. I never read this in High School or even College but I am planning on buying the book and read it.
Book #2 | The Lucky Ones by Rachel Cusk
I don’t even remember why I added this book and it was back in, oof, 2009! That is such a long time ago.
Book #3 | Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer
I adore Twilight for reasons of my own but over the time, I know and see how problematic the series is and I don’t think I ever wanted to read Midnight Sun.
Book #4 | Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier
I got this book years ago by my Grandma and she told me it is a good book. For some reason, I never had the interest to pick this book up. If I do have interest, I can always go to the library and pick up the book.
Book #5 | The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
I have been hearing a lot of good things about this. I am interested in reading this. At some point, I’ll go to the library and pick this one up.
Book #6 | Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
I don’t know if I ever will want to read this or even watch the movie.
Book #7 | Mr. & Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy: Two Shall Become One by Sharon Lathan
This one is one of the books that I randomly added to my GR TBR and I forget why.
Book #8 | Jane Eyre’s Daughter by Elizabeth Newark
Same thing as above. I don’t know why I added this to the list.
Book #9 | Chosen by a Horse by Susan Richards
Same thing as above. I don’t know why. I am seeing the theme.
Book #10 | Pack Up the Moon by Anna McPartlin
I am not going to repeat myself, ha.
Final Tally: 882. So, that means I removed 7 out of 10 books. That is pretty awesome. It is going to take me quite a while to remove books because knowing myself, I will add more. At least, from now on, I am going to add books that I know and would like to read someday.
