I am so excited to do the readathon! This actually encourages me to read more diverse because I kept seeing awesome books being recommended.
The DiverseAThon will run from January 22nd to 29th. Their group book is The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead. It is optional for you guys to read the group book. If you are not sure what book is diverse or are lost on what to read, please go to this link: #DiverseAThon Book Recommendations. It has a long list of books and its genres as well as why these books are being recommended.

I did not do well for the DAreadAThon. I truly want to read all of seven books that I have planned for the readathon but reading slump kept its stronghold over me. The seven books are kinda too much. So I have decided to read two books for this readathon that I have already picked for DAReadAthon.
I did not put it down on my 2017 Goals page but I aim to read at least one book per week, and trying to read seven books in two weeks is no go, especially with the reading slump is still around. I am also planning to schedule reviews for the books that I will read this month for February.
So to pick two books from the list isn’t easy for me sine I truly do want to read them all. I am almost done with Adam Silvera’s More Happy Than Not. The book is so good. If I am able to finish these two books, I will start on Nicola Yoon’s The Sun is Also A Star.
Tone Deaf // Olivia Rivers
I wanted to read a character that is Deaf. Like I said on the DAreadathon’s page. It is rare for me to see a Deaf person as a main character in a book. So excited.
If I Was Your Girl // Meredith Russo
I have heard this book is great. It’s #ownvoices to boost.
