Top Ten Tuesday: 2017 Debuts I’m Excited For

For anyone unfamiliar with Top 10 Tuesday, it’s a weekly meme that was created by The Broke and The Bookish. To see more posts on this very topic, please go here.

January 3: Top Ten 2017 Debuts I’m Excited For

Hello! My first Top 5 Tuesday of the year! I think this one is easy to do because there are so many debuts that I am truly excited for this year. I have listed more than 10 because I cannot narrow it down to even 10.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
This book is focused on a person who saw her best friend being shot by the police. It was inspired by Black Lives Matter Movement. I have preordered this and I cannot wait. I will be among first to go and watch the movie when it releases.

You’re Welcome, Universe by Whitney Gardner
I am Deaf. Seeing a book that is focused on Deaf students at a Deaf school? Yes, please.

Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones
I actually found out about this book before I found out about everything else. I fell in love when the author was tweeting about her book. I fell in love with it and I want it in my hands like yesterday.

Cold Summer by Gwen Cole
After reading the synopsis, I fell in love. Time Traveling? WWII? Family? Yes, please.

When Dimple met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
I want this book. May is so far off! This book sounds so much fun to read.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber
This is the part of the synopsis. Please tell me you are not even remotely interested. “Welcome, welcome to Caraval—Stephanie Garber’s sweeping tale of two sisters who escape their ruthless father when they enter the dangerous intrigue of a legendary game.”

Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza
To be honest, I fell in love with the cover before I even read the synopsis and then after I read them. I want it even more.

A List of Cages by Robin Roe
Thanks to Emma from Emmmabooks on YouTube. I want to read this book. She fell in love and seeing her passion when she reviewed this book. It made me truly want to pick it up and read!

Girl out of Water by Laura Silverman
I have an eARC from NetGalley. I am planning on buying her book. I found out about her on twitter after people were mean towards her because of her opinions on Donald Trump. What shocked me that people won’t let other people have an opinion? They turned on you for not sharing same opinions. If we all do, the world would be boring. The book itself sounds so interesting.

Little & Lion by Brandy Colbert
I recently found out about this after reading the synopsis. This year, my plan is to read more books that focused on family.

The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich
This one sounds awesome. Two guys were supposed to fight for one girl’s affection or they would die. They did end up falling, not for the girl, but for each other! I wonder what happens after that?

The Education of Margot Sanchez by Lilliam Rivera
This one sounds like it’s right up my alley. It is about a young girl who made mistakes and trying to learn from them.

This is a great list! I read A List of Cages this morning and it is an emotional rollercoaster. I too have an eArc of Girl out of Water from NetGalley that I’ll be reading closer to the release date.

I am nervous for a good book that would cause an emotional rollercoaster. I need to get books that are fluffy. Same here with Girl out of Water.
