October 2016 TBR

Welcome to my new TBR for a new month. So many books to read, so hard to pick few. I hope the books plus Nevernight that I have picked for October is a perfect fit for the weather. I never am interested in any thriller, mystery or horror books, so I am working on trying to get the feel of Halloween, Fall scenes, and that chilly air.

Here’s goes…

1. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K Rowling

HP&TCOS

I can’t wait to jump into this next book. I planned to read this for September but I realized that I wanted to read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in December because of the Christmas Ball scene, so I am going to put this book for October. Just like with the first book, I am reading this a chapter per night.

I am excited to jump more into this world.

2. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

CrookedKingdom

I read Six of Crows earlier this year and loved it. I want to know more. I want to be with the crew. I am nervous on how it will end. I hope I will be okay after reading this. Sighs! I won’t be able to start this in September because it was released on the 27th. I am planning on savor this book slowly after I am finished with Nevernight

3. Cinder by Marissa Meyer

cinder

I am finally going to read this book! I am planning on reading this series monthly, so November, December, and January will have Scarlet, Cress, and Winter. I love the idea of a retelling in a unique way. I believe this is a retelling of Cinderella, correct me if I am wrong and Cinder is a human/cyborg, I believe.

4. Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin

wolfbywolfI wanted to read this book and see if I should read Blood for Blood when it is released in November. I heard so many awesome things about this. It is so different. The big question here: What if Hitler has won the war?

Oh The Lunar Chronicles are fantastic- one of my favourite series. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
As for Crooked kingdom I am currently listening to it and so far it’s nothing spectacular but let’s wait and see how it will develop…
How far are you with Nevernight? Still like it??
    Big hugs from Germany 🙂

I am going to start with Crooked Kingdom first and I’m excited. Did you listen/read Six of Crows?

Then I’m going to read Cinder. I can’t wait to read The Lunar Chronicles. People have been telling me to read it!

I am on chapter 21. I am slowly reading Nevernight and still loving it. It is just too much information on the new world and I want to understand it.

      Big hugs from America:)

        Hi Nicole.
sorry for my late reply! I’ve read and listend to Six of Crows and now I am only listening to Crooked Kingdom (didnt buy the book yet). I like it so far though some voices changed which is always a bit confusing. I am still missing Mia … and I LOVED Illuminae which Ive read meanwhile and wheras I am now suffering from a slight reading slumpt (Though I have no time anyway). Hope you are doing fine!
All the best from autumn cold Germany 😉

It’s okay! 🙂 I think they redid the audiobook for Six of Crows (I believe they replaced Kaz), so that’s why it’s different for Crooked Kingdom. I am still reading Nevernight, and I’m excited to finish it because I do not want to put off other books. I can’t wait for Gemina coming out next week. When is it coming out for you guys? I’m sorry to hear about the reading slump! I hate those!
