September 21: Characters You WOULDN’T Want to Trade Places With
We always talk about how cool it would be to be a character in our favorite books, but who would you not want to trade places with?

1. Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games

The fact that she volunteered in place of her younger sister got her huge respect from me, but everything follows that I do not think I would like to experience myself.  

2. Harry Potter from the Harry Potter series

As we all know his story. Losing his parents when he was a year old, living with his aunt’s family that did not give him any affection, then went to a school where each year was not kind to him. 

3. Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter series

In this case, he is opposite from Harry due to his life experiences. He got everything he would want, he has parents that dote on him, but at the same time, he got parents that demand a lot of him. They joined Death Eaters and expected Draco to do the same. Due to his father’s failings, Voldemort wanted him to one impossible thing. As he grew up, he changed and did not want to live like that anymore. He wanted to be happy and away from everything that Voldemort stands. 

4. Mark Whatley from The Martian

I haven’t read this book (I will, I swear!). I do, though, know the basic of this story. The dude got left on Mars all alone and have to wait for people to come back for him, am I right? He has to learn how to grow food on his own and talk to people via webcam but it can be lonely at the same time. 

5. Kady Grant from Illuminae

She just broke up with her ex, the city that she was living in got bombed by some people, had to escape and got separated from her mom and her ex on two different ships. Had to figure out what is hell is going on. Had to deal with the virus that had been going around, and had to deal with a computer that can think for himself. Awesome, am I right?

6. Mia Corvere from Nevernight

The fact that she wants revenge but the city that she came from is no picnic. She has to be extremely careful and watch herself.
